While dealing with a number of personal tragedies, death of a brother and then a month later a death of a son, my mom learned that a rental property at Lake Tahoe had a shower leaking into the downstairs unit. Enter Mike and Jessica from NorthBay Home Solutions. Removed/replaced walls and tile of bathroom and properly waterproofed and sloped the shower floor. With record snowfalls, they had crews at the resort and were updating both the resort and myself with photos and schedule updates in Seattle.
My siblings and I all agree that we got “a deal” for the repair. Mike managed this project with competent subs and did a beautiful job. My family was so grateful.
Jessica helped us make payments through the old fashion method of mail-in checks as my mother had had her debit card used illegally.
The only problem I have with North Bay Home Solutions is that I wish they were in Seattle where I live. Great company to work with both in the Bay Area and Lake Tahoe (California).

“I have always dreaded and put off remodeling because of the horror stories of contractors going way over the estimate, missing deadlines, unreturned calls, etc. Mike was the exact opposite…a professional in the true sense of the word. Our floor replacement and kitchen repair came in under budget and took only two weeks. I couldn’t believe it!
We were on a super-tight schedule because we had to get water damage fixed for insurance purposes. Other contractors wouldn’t take the job because it was too small or needed four months to do it or didn’t want to deal with the insurance company. But Mike did all of it and was available via text even when he went out of country on vacation.

He gave us a detailed (and reasonable) estimate and design, then set us up with a cabinet/counter-top supplier. Mike had things running like a well-oiled machine: materials were in on time, and he had his guys lined up back to back. Crews were clean, professional, and even put up with our hyper golden retriever. We had a functioning kitchen after two weeks! There were a couple minor hiccups (as is inevitable with any large project), but Mike was receptive and made sure things got fixed ASAP. Final cost came in at the exact cost of the estimate.
